Some days that means walking 12 or more kilometres with a heavy jerry can on her small back. During the rainy season, the trek is so punishing that Sidise doesn’t have the energy to study — or the time to attend school at all.

Who is Run for Water?
Run for Water is an Abbotsford-based charity that raises money and awareness for clean water in Ethiopia. To date we have raised over $1.5 million and given access to clean water for over 200,000 people.
Why Ethiopia?
In the last two decades, Ethiopia has been prone to recurring droughts, which bring on food shortages and famines and a spike in water-borne illnesses. Run For Water aims to ease suffering and restore dignity in Ethiopia by providing its people with clean water.

Are my monthly donations tax deductible?
Yes. All gifts will be acknowledged, and a receipt for income tax purposes will be mailed to you.
